JOHOR BARU: Integrated industrial space solutions provider AME Elite Consortium Berhad donated 100,000 face masks to the Johor state government for the protection of healthcare frontliners and public officials battling the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.

The face masks would be allocated by the state government to various public hospitals and public enforcement agencies in Johor.

Johor had the third-highest number of confirmed cases nationwide with 648 Covid-19 infections as at April 22, after the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (1,037 cases) and Selangor (1,357).

“The Covid-19 pandemic has greatly impacted the lives of all facets of society. Every assistance is impactful, hence we are playing our part to protect the health and safety of our medical frontliners and public officials, so that they are able to focus on their critical tasks of serving the community and those in need,” said AME Elite Consortium Berhad group managing director Kelvin Lee.

“To help our frontliners succeed, we recognise the need to unite our efforts and stand in solidarity. We have always sought to improve the lives of the communities around us, and would continue to help contain the widespread effects of Covid-19 in our vicinity to overcome these trying times together.”
